With the Georgia spring giving way quickly to an early summer, I have broken my Imagi-Nation Troops out of winter quarters for the purposes of finishing said armies and finally bringing them in their full compliments to the tabletop. Having started on a Northland Regiment I have finally completed the 44th for the most part and even painted up some example uniforms for the next batch of recruits I've ordered online from Warlord Games. Their starter army for Marlborough's Wars should keep me occupied all summer with 4 regiments of infantry, one cavalry, and one artillery (with mounted officers) regiment I should be able to finish Villenois and be halfway done with the Twin Kingdoms (Geminia). Which leaves only Saxenburg as my final army to paint. In addition I plan on purchasing some civilian and aristocratic minis for use with Osprey's En Garde! as well as setting the scenes for campaigns. Enjoy the pictures. I should be receiving my new troops in two weeks' time. ;)
The Regimente du Mason engages the 44th Northland Regiment of Foot "Cawdor's Men".
Three new regimental uniforms. From left to right: Villenese regiments- du Mason, le Vautrin, and de Sade
Alongside them in sea green with red turnbacks: Regiment von Geldenbruck, of Saxenburg.
Bonus points to those who get my obscure references to French literature. ;)
Is de Sade really that obscure?
ReplyDeleteNice work :0)
